Words.

Words are symbols for ideas in our mind. When you change words, you change ideas. When you change words, you change our understanding of the world. We are humans and we are symbolic beings. We understand the world through our interpretation of the symbols that we see, hear and find all around us.
Our understanding of the world is deciphered through the symbols we see, hear, smell, touch and say. When you hear the symbol of a teapot, you understand that the water is boiling and it is time to make tea. When you see a picture of an ice cream cone, you understand that that shop sells ice cream. When we see a red octagon with white letters on the roadside, you understand to come to a stop.

As an example, the following statement was written in 2007 in a report posted online by CNN. The use of the word "undocumented" slightly changes the mindset of the reader. When in reality it was a horrid crime allegedly committed by an illegal alien, who in fact is in the least a criminal for entering a country illegally.
“An undocumented immigrant pleaded not guilty Friday to murder and related charges in the execution-style slayings of three college students in a schoolyard.”
